The IOSH Working Safely course was developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). This is a global chartered body that creates training courses to promote high standards of health and safety in the workplace.

Candidates completing this course will gain the required awareness of workplace health and safety, in line with UK legislation. IOSH is recognised as one of the leading health and safety membership organisations.

Assessments

IOSH Working Safely is assessed in 2 parts:

  • Multiple-choice examination.
  • A hazard spotting exercise.

An IOSH Working Safely certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of both parts of the assessment.

  • Do I need to pay for IOSH membership?

    Candidates do not need to buy IOSH membership to complete one of our IOSH courses.
  • Are there any entry requirements for an IOSH course?

    There are no entry requirements for IOSH Working Safely or Managing Safely 
  • When will I receive my IOSH certificate?

    Your IOSH certificate is sent via post and usually arrives within 2-3 weeks of completing your IOSH course.
  • If I complete an IOSH course do I receive IOSH membership?

    Completing an IOSH course does not give you membership of IOSH, although this is something you might want to consider separately.
  • What happens if I fail the IOSH assessment?

    The Phoenix Pass Pledge will cover your additional studies, but you retake the exams at your own cost.
